The quality of the equipment and the efficiency of its operation are directly related to the increase in the service life and reliability of the equipment being developed. An increase in the uptime period ultimately leads to a reduction in repair and maintenance costs, as well as an increase in equipment productivity. One of the factors that have a significant impact on the durability of the equipment is its correct, timely and high-quality maintenance. Various means of industrial chemistry play an irreplaceable role in this issue.

We offer you high-quality lubricants, cleaners, anticorrosive agents, adhesives, etc. products.

Modern lubricants

Currently, lubricants are widely distributed and are used in a wide variety of human activities. To perform certain tasks, various lubricants may be required, respectively, they can be divided into several varieties, for example, depending on the physical state: liquid, gaseous, and consistent.
The main purpose of lubricants is to reduce the friction force that occurs between the parts in contact and, accordingly, reduce their wear. At the same time, different connections implement this in different ways.
Among the liquid lubricants, there are mainly oils of natural origin, or artificially synthesized. All of them cover the surfaces on which they are applied very well, but many lose their qualities when subjected to low temperatures or the action of oxidizing substances (except synthetic oils). Liquid lubricants have the ability to remove particles that accidentally get into it from the part, pass an electric current and cool the surfaces, due to which the friction force is significantly reduced.
Grease lubricants also make up a fairly large group, they are mainly represented by various waxes, pastes, as well as plastic lubricants. They reliably protect the surfaces on which they are applied, pass electrical impulses, and also prevent various substances from entering the part. In general, greases are used less often than liquid greases. They are preferred if the gap between the surfaces is large enough, and it is impossible to allow the leakage of grease.
Solid lubricants are represented by polymers in the form of powders, materials made of metals, mineral compounds (the latter include polytetrafluoroethylene, graphite, copper, molybdenum disulfide). They have a very well-expressed ability to protect the surfaces of parts, but they are not used independently, and are most often different types of additives. They find an even narrower application than greases.
Basically, solid lubricants are used in cases where the nature of the contamination of the part does not allow the use of liquid or grease lubricants. Thus, it is liquid lubricants that are most widely used, and grease and solid lubricants-only if necessary.
