Energy Micro is a world leader in the production of ultra-low-consumption high-performance microcontrollers with an ARM® Cortex™ core and low-consumption single-chip radio transmitters.
The company was founded in 2007 by natives of Chipcon, Texas Instruments, Atmel and Silicon Labs. The company's head office and design center are located in Oslo, Norway. Energy Micro is a fabless manufacturer, i.e. it does not have its own production facilities. The production of Energy Micro products is carried out at the facilities of TSMC.
At the moment, Energy Micro is developing two main areas - low-consumption EFM32 Gecko microcontrollers and low-consumption EFR Draco radio modules.
