CW Industries is a pioneer in the world of electronics. Its history began in 1904 and is associated with the name of Charles Virtom, a partner of Thomas Edison. The company's name was then different — Wirt Company. At that time, Charles Wirth was engaged in the production of spark plugs for cars, wire resistors, switches.
At the same time, Continental Carbon, Inc. began manufacturing carbon and metal resistors.
After some time, the companies merged and a larger Continental company, Wirt Electronics, appeared. And in 1940, it was renamed to the more familiar CW Industries.
Today, CW Industries operates in several segments of electronic products. The company produces valves, push-button switches, insulation connectors and a large number of other electronic components.
