Vishay Corporation was the result of the merger of many companies, including BC Components. Today, Vishay is one of the world's largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.
Siliconix, Telefunken, Infineon infrared business, Draloric, Sprague, Vitramon, and BCcomponents (former passive element companies Philips Electronics and Beyschlag) were joined to the company.
Vishay electronic components are used in virtually all types of electronic devices and equipment: in industry, computers, the automotive market, telecommunications, the armed forces, space, power supply and the medical market.
Vishay's production base includes factories in China and four other Asian countries, Israel, Europe and America.
