MTS company was founded in 1951 - today the leading supplier of mechanical testing and simulation systems, as well as magnetostrictive sensors. About 2000 people are involved in the company's divisions around the world. The company's clients are international companies from the automotive industry, aerospace, laboratory and medical technologies, mechanical engineering, hydraulics and energy, agriculture and construction technologies, as well as well-known research institutes.
In the early 1970s, MTS Sensors, a division of MTS Systems Corporation, was the pioneer of the magnetostrictive measurement method and was the first in the world to apply this principle in the form of linear motion and liquid level sensors.
At the production facilities in Luedenscheid (Germany), Cary (North Carolina, USA), and Tokio (Japan), about 300 people are involved in the development, production and marketing of linear displacement and level measurement systems operating on the magnetostrictive principle.
